What is a "Maximum Title Limit"?
"Maximum title limit" refers to the total number of Active titles allowed in your NetGalley client account, including all imprint accounts that are part of your group. It may also be referred to as your 'subscription level' or 'title level'. More information can be found here.
"Active Titles" refers to any book in your account that is not Archived. Even 'Private' titles are considered Active, since you can send widgets to invite your own contacts to access a private title.
Who decides my maximum title limit?
Your maximum title limit is based on the agreement your company has with NetGalley. The subscription level you choose when you sign up as a NetGalley client influences your pricing. The subscription level is reflected on your contract, as well as on the Dashboard and Manage Titles pages of your NetGalley client account.
How is the maximum title limit shared across imprints?
If you have multiple imprints who post titles on NetGalley, your subscription level is managed by your Company Admin. NetGalley subscription clients may Set a Title Limit for each imprint in your account on your Company Admin Dashboard, and this title limit will be reflected on the imprints' Dashboard and Manage Titles pages.
My imprint's maximum title limit changes sometimes. Why?
If your Company Admin has not set a title limit for your specific imprint, the Title Limit that appears on your Dashboard and Manage Titles page will reflect the overall number of available title 'spots', and depends on the use of other imprints in your group. For instance, if your company's subscription level is 20 active titles, and Imprint #1 has three (3) active titles, while Imprint #2 has five (5) active titles, the Title Limit will appear like this:
- Imprint #1 = Your Title Limit Plan is 15 titles. You have 3 Active titles.
- Imprint #2 = Your Title Limit Plan is 17 titles. You have 5 Active titles.
In both cases, this calculation is: Maximum Title Limit (20) minus total Active (8) plus imprint active titles (3 for Imprint #1 and 5 for Imprint #2).
As each imprint adds new titles or archives titles, the calculation will update.
