Create a New Title in NetGalley

You can create a new title record in NetGalley in two ways:

1. Create the title manually. Click Create New on the Manage Titles page. This is the easiest way to create an individual title.
2. Create multiple titles using a manifest. If you provide ONIX information, you can use the manifest method to create multiple title records at once. See Create Title Records in Bulk: The NetGalley Manifest for more information.

To proceed with creating the title manually in your account:

1. Click into the imprint account you would like to create the title in.
2. Go to Manage Titles.
3. Click Create New.

Enter the title's 13-digit ISBN. NetGalley will automatically check for an existing ONIX record.

If NetGalley finds an ONIX record, you'll see an option to create your title from this ONIX record. Select this option to automatically populate available title information.

If NetGalley doesn't find an ONIX record, you can enter the title information manually.

Review and complete the title record, adding as much information as possible. You'll need to save each section before moving to the next step. You can return to a previous section at any time by selecting it from the title record.

 

Please note: You cannot create a new title record for an ISBN that already exists in NetGalley. If you enter a duplicate ISBN you will be redirected to the existing title record. If it is Archived, you can restore the title and make it Available for Request or Read Now once more.
