Title records created via ONIX feed will update specific fields:
- Title
- Subtitle
- Authors
- Imprint
- Pub Date
- Price
- Currency
- Format
- Description*
*If a description has been edited manually on NetGalley, we will not overwrite the description regardless of if the text is different in the most recent ONIX record. But, if the description has never been manually edited, the description text will be updated based on the most recent ONIX record.
You are always welcome to maintain your NetGalley title record outside of the ONIX process, by adding and changing information directly in the NetGalley title record. The publisher is responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the title information, regardless of your use of ONIX.
There will always be supplemental information in the title record specific to NetGalley, such as the Archive Date, Notes, and Digital Press Kit files. Adding this information to the title record will never prevent future ONIX updates, since that information is not available from ONIX.
