Connecting Your ONIX Feed to NetGalley

If your company is already producing ONIX, all you need to do is arrange for the ONIX feed to be pushed to your existing NetGalley SFTP account.  Most publishers deliver their ONIX feed automatically on a regular basis, usually once a week.

Please note:

  • We would like to receive ONIX updates to existing titles, not just new titles.  This will allow us to keep the NetGalley title record up-to-date.
  • If it’s not possible to set up an automated full ONIX feed, you can also transfer individual ONIX files to the SFTP as they are available.
  • Individual ONIX files should be no larger than 100MB
  • NetGalley strongly prefers to receive ONIX version 3.0, although we also accept ONIX version 2.1. Regardless of the ONIX version, the files should have UTF-8 encoding and can use either the reference names (the long tags) or the short tags.

  • We accept ONIX feeds for all publishers in the territories in which we work.

Please email us at concierge[at]netgalley.com if you would like us to resend the username and password for your SFTP account.
