Connecting Your ONIX Feed to NetGalley

If your company is already producing ONIX, all you need to do is arrange for the ONIX feed to be pushed to your existing NetGalley ftp account, in the folder labeled “_INBOX”. This is a folder that will be used for metadata, images and content.  Most publishers deliver their ONIX feed automatically on a regular basis, usually once a week.

Please note:

  • To ensure that we can troubleshoot any problems with your ONIX, we also request that you deliver a test file to the top level (or home directory) of your ftp account. This is a one-time delivery only, for testing purposes.
  • We would like to receive ONIX updates to existing titles, not just new titles.  This will allow us to keep the NetGalley title record up-to-date.
  • If it’s not possible to set up an automated full ONIX feed, you can also transfer individual ONIX files to your NetGalley “_INBOX” folder in your ftp account as they are available.
  • Individual ONIX files should be no larger than 100MB

Please email us at concierge[at]netgalley.com if you would like us to resend the username and password for your ftp account.
