User Role Definitions and Permissions

There are three user roles, which have different levels of permission:

  1. Company Admin: Access to all imprints, reporting across all imprints, and ability to create and manage all user roles, including assigning Imprint Managers and/or users’ access to multiple imprints. There may be multiple Company Administrators. Only the Company Admin may fully deactivate a User.
  2. Imprint Users: Access to only the specific imprints they are assigned, with full access to the tools and reports for those imprints. Anyone who signs in to NetGalley to manage books or requests, create widgets, or access reports should be invited. You may create as many Imprint Users as needed for your colleagues.
  3. Imprint Manager: One Imprint User must be named the “Imprint Manager” for each imprint account on NetGalley. This person has additional functionality to create and manage other Imprint Users for their specific imprint, including the ability to revoke access. In the list of Users, this person is marked with a yellow star. imprint_manager_star.jpg

Each user's profile can be associated with multiple imprints as needed. When an user logs in, they will see a dashboard that gives them access to only the imprints assigned, or all imprints in the case of Company Admin.
