Creating a New Title in NetGalley

There are two different ways to create a new title record in NetGalley.

1. Use the Create New button on the MANAGE TITLES page following the instructions below. This is the easiest way to add individual titles.
2. If you are supplying us with ONIX information, you can use the manifest method to create many titles at once. (More information here).

The Create New button can be found by clicking the Manage Titles tab at the top of the screen:

Press Create New and add a 13-digit ISBN, and we'll automatically check to see if we have an ONIX record. If we do have an ONIX record, you'll save some time inputting information since we can fill in many fields automatically. 

When you input the ISBN, if we do have an ONIX record, you'll receive this prompt:

Click the prompt to "create a title from this ONIX record" and your title record is created! 

If we don't have an ONIX record, no problem - you can just complete the title record on your own.

Next, you will be prompted to check all your details and make the title record as robust as possible. At each stage you will need to save the screen to move to the next step, and you can move backwards a step at any time by clicking on the relevant section.

 

Please note: You cannot create a new title record for an ISBN that already exists in NetGalley. If you enter a duplicate ISBN you will be redirected to the existing title record. If it is Archived, you can restore the title and make it Available for Request or Read Now once more.
